a Legacy

"The scarce availability of these pumps and spares in the Indian market fueled the inspiration to manufacture them on our own."

Our founder, Mr. Ram Ratan Gupta, was intrigued by the battery of progressive cavity pumps deployed in his coal mines. When he saw that no manufacturer in India could supply these pumps or their spare parts affordably, he decided to solve the problem himself.

He soon perfected his own unique method of generating the complex profile of the rotor and stator. With this breakthrough, ROTOMAC was born in 1967 — the first manufacturer of progressive cavity pumps in India.

His principles and guidance remain the very core of our company to this day, carried forward by three more generations of the Gupta family.

Company Founded

Mr. Ram Ratan Gupta founds ROTOMAC — manufacturing India's first progressive cavity pump for coal mines. He developed his own unique method for producing the complex rotor and stator profiles, solving a nationwide supply problem.

2nd Gen

Build-Up

2nd Generation Joins

Mr. R.P. Gupta joins, helping grow the business manifold. 2nd generation industrial pumps are developed with improved efficiency and easier maintenance. Supplies begin to major industries across India, and food & pharma pumps are successfully introduced.

Expansion

Exports & National Branches

Export operations begin with the Asia-Pacific region. Branches open in Noida, Mumbai, Chennai, and Vadodara — creating a pan-India network and bringing Rotomac closer to its customers.

Modernisation

Mr. Atul Gupta — MD

3rd generation MD Mr. Atul Gupta brings technical expertise to match Western quality standards. State-of-the-art production equipment is installed, and Rotomac breaks into the Oil & Gas sector.

Growth

4th Generation & New Pump Range

Mr. Abhai Gupta joins in 2012 as the 4th generation. In 2017, the 3rd generation of industrial pumps launches — meeting modern requirements with improved reliability, efficiency, and a robust national sales network.

Founder

Mr. Ram Ratan Gupta

The visionary who saw a gap in India's pump supply chain and built a solution from scratch. His method of producing rotor-stator profiles formed the technical foundation of everything Rotomac stands for.

Director

Mr. R.P. Gupta

Scaled the business and expanded the product portfolio. Under his leadership, Rotomac became a nationally recognised brand and started developing pumps for food, pharma, and industrial sectors.

Managing Director

Mr. Atul Gupta

Brought world-class engineering standards to manufacturing. Established API 676 compliance, modernised production facilities, and drove expansion into Oil & Gas and export markets.

4th

Director

Mr. Abhai Gupta

Joined in 2012, leading the 3rd generation pump range launch in 2017. Focused on engineering upgrades, a robust sales infrastructure, and continuing Rotomac's innovation journey.
